ICE Arrests Milo Yiannopoulos at New Orleans Airport Over Visa Overstay On August 27, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Milo Yiannopoulos, a British national, at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Kenner, Louisiana. Yiannopoulos legally entered the US on May 14, 2019, through New York City but later overstayed his visa. An immigration judge issued a final order of removal against him on July 22 after he failed to appear for his hearing. He will remain in ICE custody pending deportation. ICE also encouraged undocumented individuals to use the CBP Home app to arrange voluntary departure. The agency said the US is offering $3,000 and a free flight to those who choose to self-deport now, adding that they may be allowed to return legally in the future. Those who do not comply risk arrest and deportation without the chance to return.

FBI Brings Two Nigerian Nationals to US Over Alleged Sextortion of Minors The FBI has brought two high-value suspects from Nigeria to the United States to face charges of alleged sextortion crimes targeting minors. Adebola Festus Adekunle and Mudasiru Afeez Olawale were arrested in Nigeria in 2023 and have now been transferred to US custody. They face charges including sexual exploitation of minors, coercion and enticement, extortion, and the production and distribution of child sexual abuse material. Officials said one of the alleged schemes resulted in the death of a child. The two suspects had been overseas for three years before being brought back to the US to face justice.
