Rahul Gandhi Reacts to Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation Over NEET Paper Leak

After the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Rahul Gandhi released a video on social media and congratulated students, parents, and others who took part in the protest for justice over the NEET paper leak. In the video, Gandhi said the resignation was a major step toward rebuilding the education system. He praised students and young people for coming onto the streets, fighting for democracy, and defending the Constitution. He also said two demands still remain. The first is that everyone responsible for wrongdoing against students must be held accountable. The second is that the Prime Minister should apologise to the students who were beaten and mistreated during the protests. Gandhi added that the resignation sends a message to the rest of society that standing up against oppression takes wisdom and courage. He said in video: “Education Minister Dharmendra. Education Minister Garnet Branch resignation is a huge step in rebuilding our education system. It’s a symbolic step because he was a symbol, but he is still a big step. And I want to congratulate every single student, every single youngster, who came out of the streets and fought for democracy, fought for the future of this country and defended the constitution. I’m proud of you. Well done. It’s also a signal to other parts of society, followers, labourers, poor people, anybody who is regime is attacking and oppressing. There is wisdom and courage in standing up. There are one. Let’s get rid of this regime. This is regime that is attacking India, destroying our constitution, capturing all our expectations. Let me remind the government there is still demands outstanding. The first one, and most important one, anybody who is raised a finger on our students, people now shorten them, has to be held accountable. People who have organised it, people who’ve implemented it, all have to be punished. And the final demand that the prime minister of India, how to respect for the students of India, how to respect for the future of India, has to apologise to the students who were brutalised in attack. Thank you. Jay hind”
